Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, has come under fire on social media after referring to Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi as her “gist partner” and “plug” in a birthday tribute she posted on Instagram, praizemedia report.
In the post, the actress wished the Lagos monarch a happy birthday, praising him for his support and describing him as “my King, my brother, my Gist partner, and my plug.”Some social media users criticized Badmus’ use of the term “gist partner,” suggesting that it was inappropriate for a married man. They argued that the comment was disrespectful to the monarch’s wife and called out Badmus for being too familiar with influential people.

One user wrote, “It’s not appropriate for a grown woman to refer to someone else’s husband as her ‘gist partner’. It shows a lack of respect for his wife and family.”

However, some fans of the actress defended her, stating that her post was simply a birthday tribute and that people were reading too much into it. They argued that the term “gist partner” is commonly used among friends in Nigeria and that Badmus meant no harm by her words.
